If you’re hesitating, don’t! I’m allergic to cats but have two gorgeous long-haired felines. Dealing with my boy’s shedding was always a struggle, leading to hairballs and allergy flare-ups. Initially, I purchased this grooming kit primarily for deshedding purposes, and I must say, it’s been quite effective in reducing the fur around my house. The deshedding brush, in particular, works wonders and conveniently vacuums up the loose hair while brushing. While I still find some fur on my clothes, the overall decrease in shedding is noticeable. The size of the canister is just right for my one or two fluffy cats, and the low sound of the machine doesn’t seem to startle them too much. I have three Goldendoodles that require frequent trips to the groomers, costing us a hefty $200 per dog. Our eldest girl is finding it increasingly challenging due to joint issues. Then, I stumbled upon this product and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, I couldn’t be happier with the results!

Using the clippers was surprisingly mess-free, even though I’ve never handled clippers before. Despite my lack of experience, she looks pretty darn good! Initially, our other two girls were nervous about the noise (which, by the way, is minimal) and the unfamiliar sensation of being groomed differently. However, with the soft brush provided and lots of treats, I managed to gradually ease them into it. After just two days, I successfully groomed both of them using the various brushes and clippers included in the kit.

Now, onto the cons. Firstly, the “slicker” brush attachment leaves something to be desired. The short bristles don’t quite reach the base of the fur, especially for dogs with thick coats. Additionally, while everything functions adequately, the brushes feel rather flimsy. I’m concerned that something might break within the next few months. Despite these drawbacks, the benefits far outweigh them, especially considering our specific needs.
